PIAAC
PIAAC is the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies. They conduct regular, rigorous, international studies of adult literacy. Their Skills Map uses census data to show reliable local data across the U.S. The Gateway has both data and visuals to share.
BBFFL Literacy Card
The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy creates a Literacy Card for each state.
NASDAE Fact Sheets
The National Association for Directors of Adult Education publishes fact sheets about adult education and literacy nationally and by state.

Instructional and Assessment Resources for Adult Literacy Programs
The ILA is a professional organization that connects literacy research to teaching practices. They offer many professional resources to support tutors, instructors, and program managers.
ProLiteracy
ProLiteracy is an international membership organization supporting tutors and adult learners. Use their website to access training courses and learner resources.
Several resource libraries and collections are available from the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy partnered with Worldreader to develop this free digital resource for adult learners, families, and adult educators. The collection includes a variety of high-interest texts for adult learners at different reading levels and a diverse selection of books for families to read together. Each month, a new collection of books is launched.
