The Barbara Bush Foundation provides numerous literacy resources.  The recording for the webinar presenting the following materials is available in Propel Professional Learning Portal.

ReadLife Bookshelf:

• The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy partnered with Worldreader to develop this free digital resource for adult learners, families, and adult educators. The collection includes a variety of high-interest texts for adult learners at different reading levels and a diverse selection of books for families to read together. Each month, a new collection of books is launched.

Reading Resource Library: This is a tool created for educators to share with learners and is filled with topically relevant and captivating books for readers of all ages and levels. There are four collections, and each collection provides texts sorted into four different themes with supporting instructor guides. In addition to the instructor guides, we have developed instructor resources that support planning materials, specific collections, writing engagement, and family engagement. 

·         Collection One (Civil Rights, Activism, Fantasy/Science Fiction, Inspirational Stories)

·         Collection Two (Gratitude, Mystery, Sports, Physical Health)

·         Collection Three (Historical Fiction, Diverse America, Family and Community, Collections/Series)

·         Collection Four (Suspense/Supernatural, Realistic Fiction, All Stories Tell a Story, Action/Adventure)
